TEHRAN – A ceremony was held at the Turkish embassy in Tehran on Thursday in commemoration of former Turkish prime minister Necmettin Erbakan.

Erbakan, the first Islamist Turkish prime minister, died of a heart failure on February 27, at the age of 84.
Former Iranian foreign ministers Manouchehr Mottaki and Kamal Kharazi, some other Iranian officials and a number of foreign ambassadors to Tehran attended the ceremony.
